archetype

I found this by accident:

You are in the desert. You are traveling with 5 animals:

A Lion
A Monkey
A Sheep
A Cow and
A Horse

It is a long way more to the safety of civilization, and one by one, you are
forced to release each animal, until you are left with only one. In what order
would you get rid of each animal from your possession?

The desert, it says, represent HARDSHIPS. I released the animals in this order:

1) SHEEP. I got rid of my friends first. What a friend.
2) COW. I threw away my basic needs next.
3) LION. Then my pride.
4) HORSE. Next my passion. This is very vague.
5) MONKEY. Finally my children.

Frankly, I never thought of the implications of the animals. I decided to get rid of the sheep first because it is the most useless of the bunch. It also produces the most irritating animal sound. Although the cow seems slower and more tiresome in the eyes, I thought that in the worst case scenario, I can still barbecue it. But compared to the other three, it is better to release him earlier. I had a dilemma between the horse and the lion. I first felt that I should release the horse before the lion because the lion seems cooler and it can scare away enemies. But then, I imagined myself getting nearer and nearer to civilization and I just can't wait to be there, and I can ride the horse and take me to the town faster than the lion. So the lion goes next. The horse, as explained before. From the start, I decided that I will release the monkey last. It is a good company, plus it will be nice to have something light and fluffy and very intelligent to cling on to.

Anyway, random post.
