Our outlet closed. The rumour turned out to be true and since it happened, things have gone crazy around here. This is the first time I've done four packings in a matter of one month and the company played us real hard and my goodness....do we deserve this suffering?
Since FC-Jimi officially shut down its door to the public, I have been transferred temporarily four times, and each outlet is far from each other. I mean two hours far by using private bus and going down a traffic-free zone. Al Ain FC-Bawadi (1 week) - Ras Al Khaimah FC-Manar (1 week) - Back to Al Ain FC-Bawadi (1 week) - Finally to Dubai FC-Mercato (currently residing, and has been staying for 2 weeks as of this writing). The HR probably underestimated the shopping prowess of women as they think it would be so much fun moving us every week to different emirates while we were carrying 2-6 years worth of household and personal items.
HR promised us that they will not send us back to our countries just because our outlet closed, but they forgot to mention that we will be living as NPAs and would be thrown whenever and wherever a staff is needed. It was stressful, it was frustrating, but we have to endure it.
That aside, we received two important news that I never would have imagined happening to me while working in this company. Since we are up for adoption by other outlets, company finally decided to permanently station us in Kuwait. Yesness, in another country. Of course being a travel enthusiast like me, I was joyed by that news. Plus, we will be going as a group. Half of Jimi team will be deployed there so we will still be together after all the crazier things that happened since last month.
But wait, there's more!! If you think that we will be packing one last time, you're dead wrong. Coz what's the fun of finishing the NPA-ness of Jimi staff? While waiting for our residence visa in Kuwait, we have to help out in Qatar! Goodness, is Middle East getting smaller or what?
So that's it. I have posted my Bakeeet List last time, but it turns out that I can't do any of that anymore. The date of our move to Qatar is still unknown, so it is hard to make plans of going out. Our company loves surprises so I bet they will inform us of our flight on the day before we have to fly. Packing overnight, what fun!!
