Alcohol Intake: Overload?

I admit I am alcoholic.

I started drinking alcohol when I was fifteen, at my brother's request. At first, I only drink with my family and relatives. Then I started to drink with my family and relatives' friends. Then I started to drink with my own friends. And then I drink with my friends' friends. And I drink, drink, drink. And I get drunk.

I am glad my parents are open about this kind of stuff. I can invite friends over at my house and my parents will even buy a bottle of alcohol for us, with pulutan, of course. And I remember having a conversation with my parents before that goes like this:

KIM: Naku Tita, pag may nanligaw kay Yara dapat e may inititation muna.
YBELLE: Oo nga, paiinumin muna natin ng alak!
KIM: Dapat lambanog, tapos makikipag one-on-one sya kay Tito.
MOMMY: Dapat mapatumba nya muna si daddy.
DADDY: E matibay pa naman ako.
KIM: Hala, pahirapan 'to!

So we're like that.

And I thought that coming to UAE will lessen my alcohol intake. But no. We are not afraid of the law. We are not afraid of the CID. If we want to drink, we will drink. If we want to party, we will party. Gawd, I am so much of an alcoholic these days that it's becoming an unhealthy habit. I'm even saving up some money to buy myself a bottle of alcohol, just for me, in case I have the sudden urge to drink alone.

Until the first half of 2010, I only drink whenever there's occasion. Birthdays, holidays, reunions, or other events of the same kind. But since my 25th birthday, I started to drink for no reason at all. As long as there is/are bottle/s available (and money to spend), we drink. It's bad. Very bad.

And now...

Oh well.
