SUDOKU CRAZE
I first encountered this seemingly confusing game from Francis' cellphone. I don't get how I should fill the box with numbers. I just complete one, then go to another, and of course I would lose. I decided to forget about it.
Then came the daily STAR Newspaper at the hotel. There's nothing much to browse, except the Comics section and answer the scramble-the-letters puzzle. And Sudoku. Then I learned.
When I got to Royal Class, I found out that Kuya Adong also likes to answer Sudoku. But the daily STAR harnessed my skills, and I was able to complete the puzzle in a matter of minutes.
But Val has to challenge me.
Which I accept.
And won hands down.
So I went to him and found that this answers were all wrong. I just let him waste his time. It was amusing to see him so confused.
A moment later, his face lit up and came to me, declaring "I know the technique! The number 1-9 shouldn't be repeated in a row, column and the 3x3 box!"
I'm a rude person so I laughed out loud.
Val, honey, it's not a technique. It's the rule.
Just when I thought I'm smarter, I will find out that he just doesn't know how to play the game after all. But he learned that day.
He never got to challenge me again. I was gone the next day.
