Maybe I'm speculating too much, but it crossed my mind that maybe this is just another of Johnny's ploy, like what happened to NewS. Decreasing the popularity of the other to boost the other. Things are confusing, and since we won't know the truth anyway, the only thing I could do right now is just to believe Jin. Just like how I believe that NewS will come back next year. Johnny said Jin will be gone for 6 months (...), NewS is not around for 9. We'll survive.
